ok i know this topic is beat to death [lowering a 66 f100]

ok i know there are drop axles. for around a grand.
a little steep for a 1500 truck. so options. i dont have the means to segment a front clip off. so a bending the stock axles or using a f350 straight axle. now for the rear. flipping the axle. i have read that the frame would need to be notched not sure. looking for links for options. tutorials would be great. thanks

yeah sure, i will change the tires every other day. but im looking do a 4 inch drop.

Not sure if this makes enough difference but DJM dream beams (dropped) are available through Summitt for under $600.......

Just an FYI , on my 66 F100 LWB 300 6, I had converted to later model disc brakes and cut my springs 1.5 coils. It lowered the truck about 1.75 inches per side. I continually drove this truck as my daily driver and made a fun road trip from texas to kansas to missouri to my final destination of Indiana. Through all the miles put on this truck it had no issues with alignment or tire wear. The long I beams with a minor drop make very little angle change to them.
