Slick 60's

A friend of mine upgraded the master cylinder in her 1965 Mustang to a dual cylinder system. It was a pretty simple job since CJ Pony (and many others) offer an upgrade kit. After researching for a while (including the tips section here) it doesn't look like a '65 F250 will be that easy. Will the kit for the Mustang work? or maybe this http://www.ebay.com/itm/270963235550?_t ... EBIDX%3AIT.

Not sure about an F250 but the F100's are pretty simple. I think I used a M/C out of a 74ish Maverick that was non-power and front disc. Bolted right up.

If you are staying with drum brakes look for a MC from a 67-72 with all drum. I converted over to disk and power using parts from 70's trucks. 1/2 day job and you get front disk and power. Its a bolt in conversion.

I dont think I would buy a M/C out of a junkyard when you can buy brand new ones for around 30 bucks or so. More then likely the junkyard one will need rebuilt and even then it might leak. I'd definately go new on this item if it were me.

Don't know about the $30 for a new m/c but you are probably right about staying away from a junkyard one. I think I might have found a couple that could work. The Bendix 11488 or the 11484, both around $50. They have two equal sized pots and 2 ports. I need to figure out what size bore my original m/c has. Best way to do that is to start tearing the system apart, I guess. Kind of scary for me but I guess that's a great way to learn.
