Alright! Convenient access, an ice cream shop, lots of Meskan restaurants, a nearby ATM; and several hundred less miles to travel; this should be a good one! Anyone planning a visit to the drag strip which hosted the first NHRA Nationals?

So what is an hour each way after 12 hours to get there? I'm from Texas, that's just a trip to the convenience store!

We will be able to rope off the area to ourselves
Has a good size parking next to a large grass yard
Right off interstate, very easy to find

I agree ... after the trip to get there, what's an hour drive? How about a SlickStock cruise to somewhere ...

Pat's not tipping his hand yet, but it is probably a good bet there will be one or more 15 to 20 mile cruises If there is enough interest in the drag strip outing, I would think something can be arranged, also.

ok guiys and gals. You can make your reservations now. We made ours while we were there this past weekend and so did everyone else who was there. The rate I believe was $71.95 per nite. When you call tell them you want to be on the east side of the building and they will tell you they will pout that in the remarks section but they can not promise it but she seen no reason it can not be done. It is a great location and place. There is a nice parking lot we can rope off with a nice grassy area for our tents and awnings. There is a pool, game room. tennis courts, a basketball backboard but the hoop was gone and a huge courtyard area inside the hotel if it rains or we need to cool off. It has a continental breakfast that has quite a bit of food and drinks. Make the call and get your room reserved.......................Kid

It is nice enough I considered just staying until SS, only obvious downfall is that between the Wellers and Kruses; I would no longer have a hope of fitting behind the wheels of my slicks
