Long time, no hear.....

So, I just logged back in to the forum. The last time I visited was Aug 7, 2010. WTF? I've clearly been away far too long. I remember the yahoo days and the transitions since. Glad to see it's still around and many of the names of people I recognize too.

Finally getting back on to my '66. I had a daily driver '66 that needed some freshening up. Decided to do an engine swap. Then, discovered that the stock steering and suspension were too worn to ignore so I did a frame clip. Didn't like the way the clip turned out, so I cut it back off. Scrapped the original frame to build something new. Then life happened,.....for the past 11 YEARS!!! I've carted the body of my truck through 3 moves. Wife finally told me that if I didn't do something productive with it this year, it needed to go away permanently.

I'm cleaning the garage out and collecting parts. I've got a new frame waiting at a friends house and a drivetrain sitting in a parts truck in the driveway. I'm ready to put my baby back together. I'll be back on here a little more often than every 4 years or so.

Same here, carried it around, got the mechanical work all done, and started taking it apart.
Then life happened. Lost my savings, then my job, and now cancer.
I hope to get cured, and then put it back together! I've got over $5,000 of new parts to put it back together with, so I sure hope it happens soon.
And as he said, there is no cure for the "Slickness"!
