1964 F-100 resto-mod in progress

Post by SantiagoeFord »

Ok, so this is my 64'. She's my first vehicle, I've had her for about 4 years. I got her thinking a restoration would be a piece of cake. Boy was I wrong. I came to the quick realization that I had no idea on how to do body repair, engine work, electrical, or suspension. So there she sat for a few years. Over those years I went through 2 other vehicles. An 1989 jeep Comanche now owned by my brother and I'm dd'ing my 1997 wrangler lifted. With the 89 and 97 I've learned a TON! I've also just completed my first semester and will be attending my second semester and Penn College for auto restoration. Wish I had this knowledge a few years ago lol. But currently she's still sitting since the wrangler is out of commission for a while I can finally focus on the ford. I will be saving for a fuel system to relocate the tank between the rails.

And then floor pans and cab mounts and have to replace the whole bed floor cause Ive got all kinds do daylight showing through. Brakes have just been fully rebuilt. I'm going to put some kind of a proportioning valve in(still gotta fig out how that works) just realized about 2 days ago that I have a mid 70's tailgate on her. That will be either modified to be flat with louvers, or I will find the right gate. But I plan to have her on the road by the end of the semester or early in the summer. Wish me luck :)

It does not matter what you think, it only matters what you do about it!
