I bought my 65 F-100 from out of state and when i went to get my new tag, i found that the VIN number wasnt what was on the title. I called the seller and said, well we changed the drivers door out over 10 years ago. luckily he kept the old door and the correct VIN tag which he mailed to me and i was then able to get the truck titled in my state. So check your tags.
