Which is the best looking grille?

Post by ripsnorter »

Shawns thread and his '62 grille got me to thinking.

I had been looking at my slicks a few days before that, and decided that I liked my '62 grille best out of all the years and styles.

In fact if I were to customize my '66 I'd probably put a '62 grille on it. (not sure I'm going to though, I'm kind of enjoying the stock with wide whites idea)

Whats your favorite grille? (or is it grill?)

I'd put up pics of each grille, but I'm way too lazy at the moment. so if anyone else wants to thats cool :P

Well, I guess since I'm the original poster I can be judge jury and executioner on this one...

'62 wins hands down! :D

See now if I had started a poll there would have been actual graphs and things that I would have had to deal with to try and dissuade my logic, which would have gotten messy.

Any original grille that still looks great that you can get your hands on, especially one that is original for your truck year is superb!

(Although I would fancy any grille that came from the owner of Black Gold, but it would probably weight about 550 lbs. - yes, bells and whistles included).

'66 is my favorite, they saved the best for last. :D

I wouldn't mind owning one from each year & I would leave each truck wearing the grill it was born with. I guess the '63 grille is the one I like the least, but if I had one, it would probably grow on me. :)

That Mercury grill is just too cool! 8)

Probably anything other than the bashed, punched, folded, dented, corroded, out of shape, messy, painted, unshiney, and generally God-awful 64 grill that some fool put in my 65!

hands down the 62 is the best

I have a rusty chrome one on my 64 but would kill for a decent chrome one to replace mine.

61 is the next best ;o)
