Hello!

I've been lurking here for awhile, ever since a friend of mine in Utah told me she had to find a home for her '66 F100 that has been in her family since new. She wanted it to go to someone who would appreciate it, care for it, and not get rid of it for a few bucks. After thinking about it for maybe 5 minutes I made her an offer that she accepted. I paid for the truck in December and unfortunately have been trying to save up the rest of the cash to have it shipped from it's current home to New York. Until then I have pics to look at and drool over and plan. Unfortunately I'm having trouble uploading them. I don't know a lot about it yet. It has a rebuilt 352, I believe 4 speed manual, and has the long bed. She told me she stopped driving it last year because it needs new kingpins, but thats about it. I'll post the pics as soon as possible. Nice to meet you all. JC

Nice looking truck and I also like the color scheme.

Assumeing the New York DOT likes salt as much as IDOT- I'd park it in the winter :)

Looks like you've got a pretty decent tuck to start with, and although it's a much over-used phrase, "that'll buff out" :) :)

Cheers!
James

I think you need to fly out and drive it home.Utah to NY you'd never more three or four hours from a member. And if the steering is just hard, heat those king pins and pump in new grease.
Welcome aboard....
Dan

Thank you all! I'm very excited to get the truck and be a member of the forum. And don't worry. From the first snowfall to the first heavy spring rain that washes the roads, it will be in my new garage/shop.

Well, it's been awhile since my last post. But big changes are in the making. The truck is on the shipping truck as we speak and is on its way home!
