Super secret list of electrical stuff suppliers

Post by bobenhotep »

I am not making relay harnesses anymore, because you can buy them on Ebay for less than I could get the parts. These are my 3 primary suppliers of "electrofunk".

delcity.net
These guys will send you coupon codes for 20 percent off or for free shipping occasionally. They have decent prices on stewart warner gauges and have some good fuse holders. They are my default electrical supplier if I buy a lot of stuff at once.

electricscooterparts.com
This is a good place to get large gauge connectors and they have relay holders with the tab on the plug rather than on the relay, so that you can change relays out without tools. They also have some other fun stuff here.

cycleterminal.com
This is where you can get ceramic headlight sockets and the male headlight plug that goes into the existing harness if you want to make a pnp type headlight setup.

Look around especially on delcity, they have a lot of trailer stuff and non electrical items that you might find useful.

Have you found a source for PAR 56 LED headlamps, such as the GE Nighthawks? I don't really want to go with the butt-ugly "Jeep replacements", but would like to find a little more affordable price structure on the GE or Phillips designs.
Thanks,

Just about that low! I am not real enthused about either the Trucklites or JW Speaker units, but at that price, i may consider them. Just re-checked Amazon, they are offering a $100 coupon on the GE's. Decisions, decisions! Thanks for the link!

The JW speaker units look like they are made by Bud Tugly. I have seen online claims that the truck lites and the GE are the same light, or appear to be the same light. You can get a pair of the trucklites for 355 with free shipping. That is the lowest I have seen so far.

More research is in order! I understood the Truclites required an adapter harness, while the GE's did not! Also, there appears to be complaints of flickering with the TL's. :hm: :hm:
