Front Sheetmetal Fasteners

I've found a place to get j-nuts (or cage nuts) in 5/16-18. The originals are 5/16-24. Anyone know where to find the fine thread hardware?

Better yet, anyone know where to get the nuts that pop into the radiator support? They have a sheet metal clip the holds them in the square opening. They are 5/16-24 also.

Forget the pop in nuts. Drill holes in the bottom of the support and install regular nuts, so the next time it comes off you won't be fighting the j-nuts. Besides adding drain holes to the support helps keep the things from rusting through.

That's an incredible catalog, Danny. It's even got the pop-in nuts!

The place I've found with the 5/16-18 j-nuts and body bolts are priced at $12 for (25) pieces. So I'll stick with the coarse thread.

Holes from the bottom of the support will work, too.

Thanks

Lowe's has the course thread J-nuts. In the hardware section they have a cabinet or two with a lot of automotive stuff. I was surprised when the auto parts store didn't carry them and told me to check at Lowe's.
