I got my new windshield today

But I was surprised when I saw in was made in China. Looks good and price was good and tinted for 120$ has the safety stuff marked on the glass. Last one I bought was 160 but made in USA. Tom

Is the replacement tinted like the originals or does it have the heavier tint up top?

I just had a windshield put in and I didn't think to check where it was made......I will now just to know. I shouldn't be surprised, just about everything is made in China nowdays.
I had heard that modern repo's don't have the me curvature as the originals and are flatter. I compared this with my original albeit cracked windshield and the curvature seems to match.

When I see the word ROOSTER in front of a new windshield.... I get nervous !

the only thing i have heard of with chinese glass is some distortion in the curve. i need a new one and thats what i am curious about.
