For those of you who know, and those who are about to find out, there are a thousand things we do, when we take on the task of re-doing our beloved trucks. Some just drive them as I do with some of mine, but there is forever tinkering to keep ones attention.
The "Turk" however has been a labor of love, hobby, and pastime since I acquired it. It has both kept me sane and driven me quite mad.
I know my limits and body work is beyond me with sheet metal as nice and rust free as the "Turk".
I delivered it fairly well stripped, but running, to the body man at the beginning of July.
I then went about the first little while of my retirement, traveling and escorting the LOML through a 6 state mini tour of the northwest, and cruise to Alaska, spending time with dear friends along the way.
Today I got the call from my body man that he was about ready to separate the uni from the chassis for sand blasting, repair and paint.... So I just finished removing the last bits that made it drivable, now he can get on with it.
Can I get an AMEN..... YEAH.
Now on with our regularly scheduled forum
turk getting a new suit.

It does not matter what you think, it only matters what you do about it!

Re: turk getting a new suit.
Thanks Brian,
I have been putting away the ducats for some time and hope to have it covered, if not I guess I will just have to find a way. I only know it will be worth more If I do not try the body work as a first time novice, not to mention quicker back on the road.

John,
Not moved yet. started building a house in Houston and it should be done by the end of January.
Only two more trips back to California before I make the final trip to move it all.
