and from re-reading the replies this statement applies to my above hint and is actually more correct :

I got lost when you said they were not on I beam trucks.... were'nt they all I beam trucks?

I am also guessing they were not on long or short f100 unis...as that's all I have spent a lot of time on

4X4 and F500 up were straight axles, I thought too where the grill was attached to the radiator support, but that would the same on all. I think I want to say I've seen these, just can not put a good finger on it..... :cussing:

and they are on all unibody trucks and straight axle trucks

not one person

go dismantle some slicks you will find strange parts

the answer to the part:

5\16x24 threaded inserts they go in the cab floor and you bolt your gas pedal to them

65-66 2wd f100 and 250 and 66 f100 4x4 do not use them as the gas pedal is suspended and has a cable to operate the linkage

be sure to tune in for part # 2, and better luck this time

Both of my June 65 F series came with hinged pedals. I robbed a good hinged pedal from another 65 F250 at Pick & Pull in 2013. I believe my brothers 66 pedal was suspended.
