Any members had thier hood hinges rebuilt yet? Looking for a reputable shop to do this right, any recommendations would be helpful and appreciated. Thanks in advance.

The only place I talked to was outrageous. Something like $450 to do 2 hinges. The reason is the rivets are stepped and an odd size. Each rivet is custom made and the hinge is very finicky about the fit of the rivet and arms. I asked about going to a common size and using a common rivet but they would not do it. They only did correct restorations of the hinges.

New aftermarket hinges are available. Several have used them with no problems. Some change to the original spring over the repro spring.
