I bought this 65' off of Ebay in December of 2013. It had a 315w and a c6 trans that came with it. The truck was in pretty decent shape. Had little rust, mainly in the floor but nothing that small patch panels couldn't fix. It had been wrecked at some point and both front fenders, grill, (the wrong year) along with a different hood had been replaced. The frame is fine however. It was hit up high. Here are some pics of when I got it and what I've done to it over the last two years.

Tail gate and bed are in decent shape. Minus the 23 holes drilled in the top of the bed rails. That heavy duty bumper will have to go

I found a 65' grill on Ebay. taking out the old one here, beating core support back into shape where fenders actually fit the bumper and grill. that's a 289 and c4 that i was going to rebuild for it. plans change.........

Here I had ripped out the old rubber floor, the rotten headliner and crusty dash pad. I found some 86' For Lariat seats and console in the local wrecking yard. POR-15'd the floor and deloused the rest of the inside.

Here I was filling in all the holes in the bed along with the holes drilled for at least three different side mirrors it had. re-primered the bed sides, laid POR-15 inside the bed and tried some spider caps on the Ford wheels.

I had moved the truck out to the shop and replaced everything on the brakes and rebuild the front end. Somebody came by the shop selling these Cragar S/T's and tires. Glad I bought then. Still deciding on that motor.

Before the wheels and tires and the mechanical, I soda blasted the engine compartment and painted it with AEU PPG Black

Bought a DJM drop I-Beam and shackle kit. Replaced the shocks with some Beltechs, replaced the gas tank along with the whole fuel system.

Finally decided on a power train. found a 460 and tranny on Craigslist. tore it down, had a gaulded cylinder. but it was repairable. It's bored .060, has a polished crank, resurfaced block, decked D3VE heads, Flat top pistons for a 9.2 to 1 comp. ratio, Crane RV camshaft, Edelbrock performer RPM intake, Crane roller rockers, Hedman headers, Holley 850 DP carb, MSD Distributor along with a C6 with a 2200 stall converter. Thats my brothers 521 stroker BBF next to it. It's in his 69' Mustang now. Makes over 600 HP : )

After getting it running, all the bugs worked out and building an exhuast system, I've been driving it to work 24 miles round trip. Has done great so far. passes everything on the road but a gas station. Rear bumper came off, planning on a roll pan when it comes time for paint and bodywork.

found some F-100 fender emblems along with a pair of Camaro side mirrors. Hey, they were free. I need to finish the paint and body on my wifes 62" Unibody before I can start on mine. At least we can enjoy riding in this one until her's is done. Thinking about Ford Azure Blue for this truck.

interior is livable for now. New rubber floor and headliner along with some sound deadening this winter. I love the seats. very comfortable. will be a tan vinyl with the inside painted Azure Blue.

i decided to sell the Cragars and tires I had and go with some steel wheels with hubcaps and trim rings. I like this better. Also got the bumpers and grill painted. Added new carpet and headliner to interior.

Just checked out your web site, very nice. When I saw the paint booth I sort of wondered what you did. I loved that '50 Jag, when you can see the sky in the paint with no distortion that's straight. You guys do really nice work.

Liked the cragars but the steelies give it a classic good look.

What kind of mileage are you getting with the c6 and 460?

Thanks on your comment about our paint and bodywork. My truck when's its painted won't be quite as nice as the other vehicles we've done. I just want a driver. That Jaguar we did has a 600+HP LS3 in it along with C5 corvette brakes and suspension. The owner is going to autocross with it.

As far as the mileage goes on that 460, its terrible. LOL. It gets about 8mpg. I still drive it 24 miles round trip to work three or four times a week.
