The AT in my 64 is leaking a lot of fluid. I have no idea what the history is on the truck.
Im thinking about doing a C4 conversion.
My truck is an original 292/AT, so it has the green dot indicator.
Should I stick with the green dot valve body on the C4, or does it make a difference?

IMHO if I had an original auto in a 64 I would have it overhauled and I think you would be money ahead. + that's a somewhat unusual combo for its day. The C4 to me isn't much of an improvement in the long run unless you find one new for extra cheap. I've done an AOD adapted to a High performance yblock and it was pricey to do. Works excellent though.
you will need to modify the bellhousing or have it done then the flywheel requires and adapter I believe.

COM trannies are out there but finding one in good condition is iffy at best. Were some rebuilt ones for sale on craigslist a few years ago which I did not follow up on to my regret and I missed out. A few parts are getting hard to come by for the cruisomatic. So rebuilding is problematical. I had mine ;;;gone through for my 64 convertible with 427 but I've been told that for what I am going to do with the 427 the cruisomatic will not hold up to the engine. So now I am going to build a C6. I have several truck COM from behind Fe engines in trucks. If, yours is only leaking I vote for rebuilding it. One band in the transmission is hard to find or was when I redid mine. Found one on Evilbay before having mine rebuilt. May be these are back in stock somewhere.

My experience with these trannies is that they tend to leak at the shifter lever. This is not a hard fix, but you do have to drop the pan to remove the lever and replace the seal.
