1977 4X4 Non Slick Question

Post by C.G. »

I have recently acquired a 1977 F150 Ford 4X4 with a manual transmission. It has a 351 Modified engine in that is pretty tired. I was wondering if any has done an engine swap out with an FE motor?
If so is there any thing special on mating up with the transmission? Thanks for the help.

FE won't fit your bell. This may be an opportunity to install a 460. Pretty much a bolt in deal with all Ford mounts and hardware. You already have most of the stuff you will need. Check out www.460ford.com for more info on these engines.
