Curious if the rocker assemblies on Ford 223's can be interchanged.
Here is what came off the engine I am rebuilding. Horribly gummed up, rockers are scarred inside, the tube is pitted, worn. This was a bitch to take apart.
This is the rocker assembly off the engine I pulled from the truck. It has the two bolts to hold the valve cover on. I did not take it apart, but it is in far better condition. The adjustment screws are different too.
It would cost me about $400.00 for a rebuilt one through National Parts Depot.
What say you?

Re: 223 rocker assembly question
Yes they can. Not to peddle parts but I have a rebuilt assembly I bought for the 223 in my 56 that I would sell cheap. Would rather see someone get some good out of it than sit around and collect dust.
Every day above ground is a good one
