17x7 Dodge steelies

Post by orangeRcode »

Has anyone tried these on a slick? Farmaggon did 20x8s on his Uni and looked great. I found some 17s at a tire dealer that are reasonably priced and just wondered if anyone had done them and had pics.

17s give you a nice selection of tire sizes these days. 15s are still
around, but seem to be getting way less popular as time passes. Lucky
me, everything I have is on 15s. Pardon my sarcasm! Seems as though
I saw something about Wheel Vintiques possibly putting out some 16 inch
versions of their steelies, Hope I am right about that. At any rate some 17s
would be a nice addition. TR

I tried some Dodge mags on my Uni and the center hole was too small. Could have cut 'em bigger, but found some Ford wheels that fit.

Besides possible backspacing issues with the rears, the center hub is the biggest issue.

I'm toying with swaping some 8 lug inney centers into some 17" dodge steel hoops.

How much are the selling, for if you don't mind me asking.

Thanks
These are 16" Dodge steel wheels. The tires are p225/R7516.

They really look good now that I have the trim rings on them.

Warning though, the center holes are too small if you have disk brakes!
You will have to machine the disk a little to get them to fit.
