Shipping Stock 15" Wheels

I know that at one time, maybe four years ago, you could ship two 15"X6" wheels via USPS for $25. The cheapest I can find is for a package up to 25 lbs via the USPS = $27.10.

I don't have a scale, but I think two wheels would weigh more than 25 lbs. Anyone know?

Or has anyone found a decent price for shipping?

Thanks

Greyhound? Same way greybeard ships headliners... requires drop off and pick up at their stations.
Call for pricing.

Cheapest shipper I have heard of. :dontknow:
I would bolt the wheels together as one before boxing.

Thanks, I hadn't checked prices with Greyhound. One problem with Greyhound (so I heard from a frequent shipper) is that, believe it or not, every place doesn't have Greyhound service. I did take a wheel to the Fedex office today and weighed it. 15" 5 on 5.5, 6" weighed 18.8 lbs. $27.00 and change to send cross country.

Yep, we'll aware of the limited pick up points...
many in old urban areas you would ideally avoid.

But sounds like you still have a viable shipper for that price.

BTW: A 15" steel wheel weighs 18lbs 8oz according to the FedEx scale.
