Anything up to 72 should interchange , bring to slickstock. Or, if you know a good cheap source for a new hitch let me know.

Saw something interesting the other day in regards to a hitch on a church van towing a trailer. The bus had a brake lock up as it went across some tracks on the highway, the trailer came loose. As everyone was trying to cure the brake problem, they did not notice the broken cross bar on the receiver hitch until I pointed it out. Never saw one break like that . More than likely, I will end up making one out of something I can find. I just thought if someone had one for sale it would be easier than making or modifying one to work.

I just scored a free hitch off craigslist. It's a drawtight and will need to be shortened by a few inches, but it should fit behind the roll pan and be hidden!

Free is good and I have one I remodeled on one of my trucks also. It came from a wrecked later model truck and served me well.

I built mine for free.... If anyone is I interested! Searched craigslist for a cheap hitch, the guy gave it to me for free after talking for a few minutes. I cut it up and welded the end caps back on and I have a free hitch.

Rich on my 56 we have a hitch that folds up under the truck so you cannot see it,, did it about 25 years ago but any 34" frame will work so from 1948 to 72 trucks providing no gas tank there in which will be more complicated...
