Somebody is dreaming. That grill was still being sold by Ford a few years ago, and I believe Dennis Carpenter has new ones.

I think it's beyond dreaming. Seriously delusional I would think.

Shoot there is one guy who has one that shows up on Ebay and he wants 2300 for it. However they have been discontinued for years, I am going to say since the late 80's and no one reproduces the 64 grill only the 66 and a 66 will not work in a 64 or older without front end mods. I found one of these in Oregon about 10 years ago still in the box and paid 500 for it. I think this one is to high but they are few and far between

I remember I bought a NOS grill for my 63 Galaxie 500 XL convertible for 200.00 dollars. Of course that was about 12 years ago too.

Michelle,
That is in line with what Stillwell wants for a very nice used one currently. Greg does know his Ford (and Mercury) parts. While I hate to pay that kind of money for a part due to "I remember when --", I am glad he and people Kinsel L/M, and even Greene Sales, have taken the risk and invested in these old parts. Let them make a little profit, the market will inevitably determine if the price is realistic! And, yes, those grilles went "obsolete" long ago, and TMK, have not been re-popped. You can always look at both sides; he could be asking the same price as his long-time competitor.

Guess I'm fortunate in having 2 NOS 64 grills, possibly 3, as I buy these whenever I run across one at a reasonable price. I remember passing on one with NOS headlight doors some years ago for 125$. Wasn't long after that prices increased to that much on just the headlight doors. I remember Greg had a 64 NOS grill he was selling for 500$ but it was definitely a second. Long way to being a good show quality grill. I've known Greg a long time, and yes he knows his parts. I also know he buys seconds from Carpenter and sells those pieces at first prices.
