CV ifs 460

Happy new year everyone. I just put the finishing touches on the CV ifs and everything is good to go now it's time to focus on engine and trans.
So I had orginally planned to do a small block/ C6 or C4. Something simple and something that I know a lot of people have done. Well of course plans change (almost weekly at this point) and I ran across a 460/c6 for less then I paid for the CV IFS. So with a $250 460/c6 I'm now looking at the front end wondering if this is going to work. I know a few guys have put a 460 on the CV crossmember but will it really support this massive weight over an extended period of time? Regardless it was an awesome score they of course both need to be gone through but you can't buy cores for that price.
So would I be better off using the significantly lighter small block or just dive in and make the 460 work? I know this is a question of opinion but it would be great hearing from some guys that have put this much weight on the CV ifs. Thanks everyone
