I don't see much information here as to which is preferred. From what I read the T-45 used a cable clutch and the TR3650 use a hydraulic. Either way I go might have to use the peddles from a Mustang. Anyone have more info?

The TR3650 that's in my 04 Mach 1 utilizes a clutch cable.

I believe they are both cable clutch although it's very common to modify them to hydraulic clutches. Unless you have a 4 valve 4.6 like orangeRcode then I believe there is clearance issues, in mustangs that is.
A few years back I did it to my previous mustang and it worked great although can't say the $ was really worth it considering it was a weekend and nice weather car not daily driver. For the sake of simplicity I like the cable clutches which ever you decide I'm sure clearance won't be an issue.

Either way I'd love to see what you do.

Having dropped a number of transmissions just to replace the slave cylinder, I would tend to lean towards the cable based unit for its simplicity and durability.

I picked up a T-45 over the weekend. I saw a thread over at FTE of someone who listed a T-45 in a Slick and PM him for clutch info but haven't heard back yet.
