I'm hoping to start repairing the handle tomorrow, as it was pressed/stamped on and came loose shortly after leaving the salvage yard..so I'm taping it and adding in a set screw..And hopefully mach it up tomorrow evening if i'm lucky..
Just curious to know if anyone else has used the '60 Edsel assembly and what all they did on the latch end to make it all function properly...I know I can get it done...but It would be nice if someone already knew and I didn't have to spend so long working through it

Wow! I had the same idea. I was going to hook the end to a hood latch off of a 97 astro van. You would have to build a bracket, but the latch itself is only about 15 bucks on rockauto. Good luck.

For every person with a spark of genius, there are a hundred with ignition trouble
going to make a custom bracket, tried mounting it where the o/d handle was at one time...horrible spot, granted I'm sure the o/d bracket was far better suited than some Edsel part...but I would think eventually you might hit your knee on it...but I've never seen a nice high quality picture of a truck with the o/d cable in it so...

The 58-60 Lincoln pull levers look the same as your Edsel. The early Lincoln's hood opens forward so the cable may be too short for a truck. Might be a good idea for a forward tilt fromt end.

ya that why when we realized that the yard had an Edsel and the hood opened like it needed to...we knew we had to snag it...
