There is a local (Mc Donalds type but ALOT better) reasteraunt that has a 65 Slick Fire truck in real nice shape. I may have to try and get some pics of it.

Whoever bought that truck practically stole it. COE trucks are pretty rare. My dad and I have been wanting a 48-50 COE F7 to turn into a car hauler. Only we want to put a 3208 Caterpillar Diesel in it.
Vehicles:

2000 F250 Superduty Crew cab
1998 Ford Crown Victoria Police Interceptor(work beater)
1961 F100 Uni (my baby)
1966 Thunderbird: someday.

When I was a kid, my little home town had one of these COE's with a boom on it's back. My friend's Dad was one of the guys who used it regularly.
One day they were on a muddy job site with the boom extended...suddenly the tires sunk in the mud, causing the truck to lean & boom to contact a nearby power line. It barbecued the two guys on the truck & caught it on fire.
As a curious kid, I had to go check out the burned hulk afterward...pretty nasty. :?

That's how a bunch of them are, I've noticed. I'm assuming it's so they could run the pump directly off the front snout of the crank. :dontknow:

Here's one from an earlier eGouge auction.

Man! I just noticed that fire truck only has 5,780 miles on it!
Geez, if I only had somewhere to store that, I'd snap it up in 3 seconds!
