It's gonna be great , at Slick Stock eight
Will see lots of friends , but not one mate
Won't see JCs truck , but it will be worth the Wait
Will see Texans , who Always talk about pate
Even numbered years , late August is my favorite date
Be sure to get there ... early , of even late
If you ordered your motel room , hope you got the good rate
Sometimes things happen ... but that is just fate
