223 oil tubes

Post by shipwrecked »

Guys, I contribute my engine failure to the oil line on my rocker assembly. I need a new (old) oil return line. It’s the one forward by cylinder #1 with the long nipple and doesn’t need the ring on the base.

Mine is too short to lock my rocker assembly shaft in place.

I called Dennis Carpenters and was told they had 4. I gave info, they stated I’d be charged and it’s shipping. BUT- they don’t have any... zip.. zilch... nada.

No other NOS parts house has it.

Anyone got a junk 223 they can grab those oil lines from?

My oil supply line is fine.(that’s the one by cylinder #6 and has the o ring on bottom).

If I can’t get a used one from you all, i will need to get into a hydraulic shop and see if they can make me a custom one. I’d rather not go that route as it’s expensive.

THANKS,!,

Nipple on mine is too short, allows the rocker arm shaft to spin.
