I was initially impressed to see some good looking hinges... but the prop rod and doubts about how well they hold up to real world use..
And I'm sure that the tilt hood kit made by our fellow member is more economical... and the way I'll go when mine fail.
But, this article does mention a maker of hood hinges for slicks, so I thought I'd point it out for those of you who like options.

I have No idea what $$$$ they ask for these hinges or how well they hold up. They defiantly require a prop rod (no springs )

But the $20 key chain might be a hint.

And hey, that Pat feller was showing of a plasma table the other day... soo some spare time with paper templates...

I contacted them. $400 for a set. In my opinion unless you want something unique for your truck it's not worth it. The old hinges can be sent out and rebuilt for about half that.

Hood hinge rebuilding was recently discussed on another forum, the most notable rebuilder Wilson Auto Parts in VA has stopped rebuilding slick hinges (I sent them mine and they returned them 4 months later and they hadn't been touched). If any member knows of any other shop that provides this service please post their contact info. Thanks

Pick up a copy of Hemmings. You'll find several in there.
