Said to be a rare unibody 4x4

Post by tomsrod »

The topic of unibody 4x4s used to come up here every once in a while, though no one has ever shown me one that could be verified as genuine. This one is not genuine. So many things don't add up to being a 4x4 that I'm not sure where to start. It's a cobbled together unfinished truck they are asking a lot for. I do like the exterior colors, the short bed and the big back window. They should've just made a nice unibody out of it and leave the 4x4 out of it. I'd love to see the frame numbers instead of the bogus door tag.

I wonder why they left the trim on the hood ?
Guess they didn't want to weld up the holes :(

Well, I'm guessing it's sitting on a dentside 4x4 chassis ?, as it's got a two bolt (per side) front bumper, the door tag is definitely not OEM Ford, and the VIN listed seems to have an extra character, but just reading the volumes of disclaimers in the ebay listing would be enough to scare me away from any dealings with WORLDWIDE VINTAGE AUTOS............................
