thermostat housing

Post by 63 wrongbed »

I need a thermostat housing for my '62 292, the ones I see available have the connector to the water pump on the side of the thermostat mine has it inline with thermostat. I hope that makes sense, appreciate any help.
thanks James

The difference is the radiator hose connection. A truck's housing has that at 12 o'clock, viewed from the front.

The water pump bypass nipple is in the same location relative to the thermostat for all Y-Blocks.

If the radiator hose outlet is at 12 o'clock and it is for a y block, it will work

The one pictured is for a car. It will require another hose, probably a universal one.
