Has anyone made a long bed into a short bed? I know that it's done with chevy C10'S quite often.

To do it exact you would need to remove 14" in front of wheel and 6" rear of wheel. There was one on here that did only the front, I don't remember who,
it was a silver truck and looked good. If memory is correct he was a farmer, may have been from Ohio, In, Il.

The first link there is mine. Shortening the bed really is not that bad of a job, I actually enjoy doing that kind work. My truck is still in progress just moving slower than I'd like sometimes. Hopefully I can get some updates posted in the coming months. My goal is to get the remaining body parts, including the bed, blasted and ready for paint later this spring. If you have any questions on the bed shortening fire away.

There is a red short to long 63(?) at Roswell Wrecking in Roswell, New Mexico. Going by the standards and rear wheel set it looks like just the middle was removed.

If you go out there and speak to the owner make up a common year to look at. I saw some 67-72 and a couple of slicks from next door but he said I was wrong and he didn't own any. I looked anyway but none of the imaginary trucks had the hitch I was looking for. Maybe he was just off that day and too arrogant to admit it. Other than that awkward moment it is a good place to shop.
