i was surprised. that is with a PI aluminum intake the rest is factory FE. Iron CJ heads. "A" scratch block. i did not think they weighed that much. i hauled 20 clean radiators to the local scrapyard.and the empty truck with me in it weighed 4140. and i weigh 190. so the empty weight is 3950. i was guessing more around 3600. i am going to Heartland Park this next summer and see what 600 horsepower will turn in the quarter with around that same weight.. When will this end.

My 65 F100 with my aluminum headed 428 short box with my suspension mods weighed 3450 without me in it.

460 stock other than a double roller timing chain and a s475 TURBO pushing 6psi of boost (now 12lbs)

428 4v (R.I.P)
c-6 wide ratio modified

home made ladder bar rear with air bags
11.96 sec @ 110mph 1\4mile (best with the 428)

how many lbs do you think you removed from front end modifications over factory? aluminum heads probably make 50 lb difference over cast iron. i have a spare probably 30 lbs or so. maybe a few more brackets than yours and a power steering pump etc. but i can't see that big of difference. i have long mistrusted the owner of the recycle place. i should have weighed the radiators on a feed scale prior to going there. too late now.

a full tank vs 1/4 tank of gas will make some difference
also tires & rims can make a difference
4spd trans vs 3 spd ....

aluminum turbine wheels . i will check the tank. i just drove it to the scrapper after cleaning the radiators and loading the truck. so i'll edit after i gain some more complete information. bucket seats .interior carpet. truck has had disc brake conversion from 73-79. power steering and power brakes. front bumper and contour bumper on back.

Not sure it makes a difference but my 61 long bed uni w/cast iron 460,C6 with bench seat and front I beam w/ a full tank, empty cab came in right at 5000lb

It's hard to say but cast iron Ibeams are pretty heavy. Plus I ditched the rear leaf springs in favor of some homemade ladder bars and airbags. I weighed mine at a trucking facility so I'd say it's pretty accurate.

Maybe weigh one of your trucks that you did the crown vic swap on to get and idea of the weight difference.

BTW I'll be in Eudora Monday and leaving Wednesday morning and I'd like to take one of your vic swapped trucks for a drive and see how i like it!! If that's possible.

ain't no problem. i'll be around. virus an all has me staying home. seven eight five five four two one thousand. careful on the roads. btw i also have 1/4 tank of gas.
