I got a call that kicked me in the gut.

My detainlung officer misspelled Shore Duty as A F L O A T.

I am walking down the pier to another ship that does the same thing I’ve been doing the last two years, except the new tour is for three years.

Sister ship to the one I am on, but supposedly in great shape as mine has been a struggle.


The house I own I can stay in, goals to purchase a new property with a nice shop area and storage will happen. Just time to build the pot of savings first,
Mom and dad are still offering to help me with the dogs and house sitting.

Hitch is I leave in mid May again. I just got back a few days ago.

Those navy folks may be gone for a big chunk at once, but I’ve been deployed way more than they ever were.
