Bonneville Speed Week 2021

Post by jamesdfo »

Just going through all the pics from Speedweek posted to http://www.bangshift.com, and came across this pic of a Slick Pushtruck, I'll post any others I stumble across:)

I like it! (And I'd drive the wheels off it!)

That is a nice truck. It would be pretty cool to go see the land speed races down there. Has anyone here been?

Nic: I booked off time to go back in 2008, talked to a bunch of local lads, couldn't find anyone who ACTUALLY wanted to go.....so I decided to just stay home and work in the garage (built my Tig cart and some other smaller projects:)
It wasn't until Speedweek was all over that I discovered that 2008 was the 60th Anniversary Year, which was a big(er) deal than a normal year:(, which only added salt to the wound!

Y-Block Guy hasn't raced the truck in a while. He's switched to a roadster. I think he went something like 196mph this year, of course, with a Y-Block. I think he got the truck over 150mph. but decided that he needs something with better aero.
