What is a good wax for patina trucks that have some bare metal. I would think most wax would leave a white residue that would be hard to get off. Slick4X4-What did you use on the green one ton?

I use turtle wax , polishing compound
Then turtle wax , paste wax
And yes … it can leave a white haze
But go ahead & do it & then after it dries
Just use a high pressure washer on it

Do yourself a favor & buy a electric polisher
Saves a LOT of elbow grease !!
I bought a variable speed at harbor freight
I like it much better than the single , or Hi/Lo polishers
….
I just used it (the polisher) the other day
My sister came up & I noticed the hazy plastic
Headlight lenses on her car
About 3-4 minutes on each lens
With the polisher & polishing compound
They were much more clear

Here is polished / unpolished picture
The areas where there was bare rusty metal
I hit with some wet 1500 sandpaper first
Then went ahead & polished & waxed

Thank you. I have heard to use Turtle Wax Ice. It does not leave the white film but is very expensive.
