Hood hinge update:

Post by ELpolacko »

I am back from SEMA.

I have two members here interested in hinge kits, Castruck_1964 and Kstone 63.

To you guys I will be pulling patterns and laying things out next week.

I also have a chance at a really cool hood for these trucks. A friend of mine was building a cowl hood for a 62 Uni with a Lighting engine. The project stalled out but the body guy would like to progress with the hood. I am working out the details and will post some pictures as soon as possible. I am quite sure the "guys" here would really like this piece.

Grump? Internet anonimity plays strange tricks with the brains perception. I was just being clear and to the point.

Plus the smileys are fun to add strange emphasis to your quips!

The hood guy is searching out a glass company to lay them up. It will be a while before we have numbers. Patitence my friends.

 Here's My sign >ALAN.

I think it was just the dismissive clear and to the point way, you answered
his question. He may be a potential customer!.

Back to the hood (bonnet) Am I right in saying it is a complete hood with with a cowl/air scoop in it visa vie one piece, and will be able to be fitted OEM or with your tilt hood (bonnet) or both? debronyits.

Grump... I am sorry for wasting your precious time. Dreaming is the only reason I pour what little money I have into my old beast's bottomless pit of a fuel tank. I am indeed interested in purchasing a hood, even from a grump, as the mere thought of an air sucking hood alters my mood from whatever contrary state it might have been in to an amicable, no, euphoric attitude.

I don't hold being crotchety against you El whatever, I am sure you are aged to the point where communication with lesser mortals such as I has become trivial. Please forgive my dumbfound nature and irrelevant, annoying questions.

See, now that is funny! Sarchasm works when both parties understand eachother. No harm done.

I did get the Email, a2z. I will put you on the list of customers. Now that makes 4 kits to build... Still haven't heard anything on the hoods.

tilt hood set up

Post by STYLN63 »

Did you ever come up with a price for the tilt hood set-up? Plain, uncoated would suit me fine. If you don't mind me cutting in on your conversation. I've always thrown the idea of tilting my hood around and like the looks of your set-up.
