The place to talk Slicks. All we ask is that discussion has something to do with slicks...

cab on new chasis?

Post by holmboy »

anyone heard of anyone putting a slick cab(65-66) on a much newer model chasis? Thinking of putting a cab on a 99 chasis with a 7.3 powerstroke... has anyone attempted this? Biggest issue I think would be the front wheels fitting in the wheel wells and the engine compartment size.

Just thought someone might have already done or tried it.

Thanks for input

I would love to put a slick body on a super duty chasis. It would require a lot of fab but if the dash could be integrated into the slick cab, then it would be easier. The way I would do it is to custom body mounts incorporating a 2-3 inch body lift to lift up the body. It wouldn't be easy but it would be cool to try
