Anyone know who's supplying headers for the 429/C6 conversion? Thanks

If your running the straight axle try sanderson headers, they have some that dump at the rear should clear the axle or most front suspensions,Ive measured and they will fit my 63 with a camaro clip so should clear just about anything.heres a link. http://www.sandersonheaders.com/product ... cts_id=185

Yes Sanderson headers for a straight axle truck is what I was running before I switched to the Dakota setup. TruckRat has purchased my Sanderson headers but if he doesn't come up with the money by Pate (end of April) time then they will be sold at Pate.

The headers worked well in my truck ran them for about 7years with no problems. They are shorty headers and do clear the steering box.

I now run stock manifolds on my truck, I couldn't get any headers to fit with the Dakota so I gave up and went with manifolds. I really haven't noticed a difference between the 2 yet.

I have sandersons on mine also, are you looking for long tubes or shorties? Mine are nickel coated shorties, a bit pricey (not comparable to Lemons) but fit great with a straight axel. I dont know if Sanderson has a long tube made, youm ight have to give them your dimentions if you need long tubes and they make them for you.

I think I'll just go with the short set. How much were your nickel plated ones?

I'm not 100% sure with a straight axle but i use 460 headers for a 79 150 2wd with my volare front clip which doesn't have alot of room. They sweep back quite tight towards the firewall and tuck in real nice to the engine.I'll have to dig around a bit for pics.

they were about 470 bucks, short and to the point , lol I like them too, shouldnt ever wear out, make sure you have a good tune up on it, and sandersons guarantees them, if you dont have a good tune, they will discolor and the warranty is void. I bought these about 4 years ago, I think lol, so price might have changed since then. Great product, good welds. nice looking pipes for sure
