the drags at Slick Stock are on!

Post by Casey 65 »

Here's the email concerning the drags at Slick Stock. Tell me if you want to drag and I'll get a count to the Lightining Fest crowd and we'll be on the strip at Slick Stock!!

Kid... you... me... GRUDGE RACE!

get out the hour glass LOL

gerry, here is a copy of the e-mail i got from mike. it sounds like it will be around 20$ per truck to get in and be able to race on friday night. of course i'm sure all trucks that actually do want to race will have to pass tech inspection. KCIR's website has all the info on that i believe.
those that don't want to race simply need not fill out their tech card and just park accordingly. i'll let you bring this up to the slick members and see if they are up for it. if so, we will need an approximate truck count so i can get back to mike and let him know so they can rope us off a spot so we can all park together. thanks, chris.

Hi Chris,
Yes. You guys are welcome on Friday or Saturday. Friday night is test and tune, so you guys can run then. Saturday night is grudge racing. The general consensus is that we charge $20 -25 per truck, which will provide for driver & passenger, parking in the pits in a designated area (rather than parking outside) and then your guys will haven no problem being included in the racing.

Usually the club charges $10 per head to spectate and you gotta park outside. This will hopefully make it more fun and get you guys saturated in our little world.

COOL Gerry. I do have one question though. Do they have a passing lane on the strip . You and I could start out and let a few behind us go and we could be out of the way when the go by us.....KId

Ok, Anybody know how to make a 390 look like a 300 so I can beat Gerry.

Hypothetically speaking as my truck will never see KC........

I know who I would not want to race....

But if I had a chance to get a pic of my truck lined up with the XL that would be cool.

My truck was lined up next to the XL and with my 223 could've beat it on that particular day, ( it was not running for those who were not there) and this should bring back memories of SS II and JC's grin on his face that never left.

Charlie, Sure you can join in. As good as everyone got in York at changing fuel filters we can make it part of the race like a pit stop, stop in the middle and change a fuel filter,LOL...........................Darrell
