they dont look very LED-y... looks like a reg. lightbulb inside it. I would expect to see 50-100 LEDs behind a smooth lens...

and it's easy to post a pic like that.

I think someone on here posted a site where a guy had made these for a Bronco and was going to produce more to sell. He was producing all red ones and ones with the back-up light in them.
The link is
http://members.tripod.com/~quicksilver6 ... light.html

I have tried to email him in the past and he never answered me. I will try again.

I just used the LED replacement bulbs for my 64 but I have 67 tailights with the back-up light that I have hooked up to my automatic column.

Well thats good if the only difference is that they have a reverse light
as I was planning on putting in reverse lights anyways.

For 150 big ones, I think I can make my own. should be able to do it for about 20$, I think.

yeah it seems like components are way too much. I dont get it. t make your own light clusters and stuff seems like it costs mor ehtan to buy one made up. There's gotta be better sources... Bet ya you could buy a bunch of stuff online cheaper than you could get it at radio shack.

if you are just wanting LED's then the local parts store sell them. sometimes there is a ballast or something that goes with the lights to make them work. there is like ten or twenty bulbs on each and they plug into you stock socket. ebay has them for all ranges of prices, sizes, and color. red, white, blue, yellow, and so on. i was going to install some on my mach1 when i got it together this summer. i'll keep you all posted on how good they work when i do it.

** Tail Light housing and lens are not included. If they are not able to be cleaned or repaired new replacement housing and lens are recommended.

$150 is alot of scratch for those! Grabber64 is right you can buy plug in LED replacements for about anything.

I've got 1158 style dual brightness LED clusters stuffed into my bed rolls... And I know they are designed to be put inside your lens housings, but dont think they would do too well in there. They are very directional, and already red, so the red lens would just make them crappy.

I didnt realize that the lenses werent included.
I agree that is alot of money just for a 1? led setup?,Ive seen those 1156-57 led replacement bulbs at Canadian Tire for a while and they are only $10,sounds like a way better option.
