lightning fest rsvp!!!!

Post by ezernut9mm »

i need to get a rough estimate of how many trucks will be heading out to l-fest on friday so i can get with the event co-ordinator about a gate fee. please post here if you are interested in either racing your truck or just wanting to get into the pits. the fee will be per truck, so i need a truck count. usually, for this event you would have to park outside and pay ten bucks to walk in. i'm hoping for about 20$ per truck to drive into the pits. that should include a tech card to race if you want (you'll need a helmet to race). i need to finalize this price, but i need a truck count to do this. this will be a good time with plenty of fast ford trucks. feel free to ask any questions. thanks, chris.

Count me in for attending the drag races and parking in the pits. Sounds like a good time. My truck has a tonnaeu cover so we can sneak in about 6 kids just like at the old drive-in movies.
If you continue to buy imports, where will your children work?

got this e-mail from the event organizer. i hope the price is ok with everyone?

Hey,

Glad to hear from you. Yes, we welcome them, and I think if you guys want to grudge plus pit park that will be cool. How does $30 per truck sound? That will cover tech, give them a L fest window cling and program and allow for driver plus passenger entrance?

I would like to be included in this. Won't run, but the last time I was in any pits was in the early 60s. Garbz may be riding along.

I will take my truck as well, and if Gerry runs, then I will run mine too. Well maybe not......

I have created an utter DOG, but it cruises really nice around town and that's what I wanted.....

I'll have room for one passenger as well, as I doubt my Dad will want to come along.

gerry says for an early supper and we go after that. so i would guess around 6pm or so.

if anyone has a helmet, i would bring it. you can't race without one.

the track has loaners, but i wouldn't count on them being available.
also, make sure you have some sort of coolant overflow tank. they don't like cars/trucks puking coolant all over the track. lol
