We are building a map pocket to replace the inspection plate in the door, our cab doesn't have door glass. Need measurement from plate to glass with glass rolled down ( max depth to clear glass) Any help would be great.

Thanks,

Kevin: Don't know if this will help or not, but I measured one of the "original factory" map pockets and it is 5 1/2" deep at the top and slopes down to about 4 1/4"deep at the bottom. Glad to hear you're working on a "slick" product.

I measured about 3 1/4" from the window to the edge of the interior door panel. There is a metal bar that supports the window frame and the clearance for that is just under 3". I have a map pocket in my door and the enclosure is 3" deep all the way through but it is tapered inward at the top to clear the window.

CORRECTION: I was holding the pocket upside down (haven't had enough coffee I guess)...it's narrower at the top not the bottom

I'm really happy with the Rod Doors headliner. Now, if I can only figure out a way to cover it properly.........

Uncle Skip
Start gluing in the center, work back to one of the rear corners, then to opposite front corner, then other rear and last the other front corner. (work like an "X").

Kevin how long have you been in NC? I live about an hour away in Williamston, NC and Paul Merrell lives in Wilson NC.

Lonnie,
We moved to Rocky Mount (17 miles from Wilson) in Jan 2007, please stop in and visit anytime. We will be at Charlotte next week, Carlisle next month, and Dayton turkey rod run in Nov.
Stop in.

A big yes on the Rod Doors headliner, I saw Skip's and it does look nice.
I am going to buy one myself and recommend them to others.

Kevin, would roddoors be interested in making the door pockets to fit with power one pieced windows? I really like mine but cant use them now the window motor is in the way. but if it was made smaller then I could still use it, basically needs notched at the center where the track is. I dont think the glass itself is going to be a problem. I have one I can notch out and then mold in a section to let the motor fit. Just thought I would ask
