Go to it Brian, expect to see it in Iowa. &9 Volvo station wagon front end with disc brakes would fit nicely.Mustang rack and Bronco II column fit right to it.Rides and handles great. Merle

Somebody once told me about the Volvo front end, but had no pictures to show me how clean of an install it is.

Looking forward to lining up with you in Iowa.

Alan,

Alan. Brian has to drive into Wasilla for batteries. The US news media bought them all up, for taking pictures of the skeletons in Sara Palin's closet

i got batterys yesterday, in Wasilla. unfortunately we are having some Ike remnants as it has been raining really hard for 2 days now and the DSL was out all day until this morning.

lots of skeleton hunters these days for sure.

Nice find Brian, it will make a nice cruiser, and should get twice the mileage of the 4x4. Watch out though, you may enjoy driving a 2wd and put those 4x4's up for sale.

Man that thing is a real little sweetie. I agree with Tom, get the other 223 in it, get the five-speed shifting behind it, maybe King pins and disc brakes, and you are good to go for SS4. Anything else is a bonus, but you better put a lock on that grille ;)

Listen to me, giving someone advice on getting a truck to SS :rotflmao: :arse:

did clean up pretty nice. still could use another good scrubbing but 99% of the moss and gunk are gone.

been repainted once over the original same color, drivers side fender has been replaced at some point, and the gearbox has been replaced with one from a 3 speed truck.

got a few other things to deal with before i start wrenching on it.
