here are a few pictures of my 64 lowered. it has a 3" lowered axle in front. it was done by sid at nostalgia sids for $375. the rear has the spring packs flipped. once the bed and the extra weight is on the suspension im going to have the leaf spring eyes reversed. im running 5x15 wheels

i could no longer keep "r.i.p.ing" all of our fallen brothers and sisters, so i say here, slick loads of love and much respect to all you beautiful people.
Am I totally nuts? it doesnt look like it's been lowered very much at all, even though I know it has.... does it not have an engine in the front? I cant imagine it could still look that high after dropping the beam 3 inches....
'63 with 390 & lots of juice. But never enough. Always want more.
it has a rebuilt and great running 292 in it. its the angles of the pictures. once i pull a few leaves and reverse the eyes itll drop it more. im trying to get it as low as possible the "traditional"or "old school" way. the way a guy would have on a budget years ago
its running stock springs. im some what leary of mono springs. i would rather remove some leaves, dearch, and reverse the eyes then run mono leaves. ive seen monos break.
I thought you might of just pulled a few leaves and reversed eyes. Also the flipping of the rear too, thats helps a lot. I too don't care for Mono-leafs. The ones I've rode in don't ride or handle that well. I would sooner do it the way your are and that should work just fine. Also like the fact its a Yblock, same as my Unibody.
reversing the eyes will only give you about a inch or so of drop. 2 leaves pulled may give you a inch or less. if i do the eyes and remove a few leaves im hoping for 2". if i still want more drop i may Z the frame behind the cab and at the firewall
sid at nostalgia sids in oklahoma dropped it for me. his web site is: droppedaxles.com it cost me $375 for a 3" dropped axle. when i send my original axle to him as a core ill get $75 returned to me. he also has machined blocks for tie rod so that it lowers it 2". they were $60. all the parts mentioned fit perfect. im very happy with them
Lookin' good!!! Be carefull removing leaves, if you take out too many you can get spring wrap up when braking. That can cause weird steering inputs. Reversing the main leaf an pulling a couple will bring it down nicely!
The truck looks good, I like the trim rings and wheel color!!

Did you talk to the guys at roadster.com in phoenix ? If you did why didn't you use them? I'm just curious and before I spend money I'd like to have some confirmation of a shop's quality. Appreciate the info about Sid's.---David.

That's too cool az! We're taking the same approach. I had Sid's drop my axle 3" too. Also had Warner Spring in Indy reverse the eyes (front and rear) and had some de-arching in the back. I am still "tweaking" the steering arm, but I hope to have it back on the ground this weekend. Then I'll need to figure out how to post the pictures!
im slightly worried about the scrub line. but theres not much i can do but move up to a larger wheel and tire.
im not a big fan of roadsters.com i build model A fords and Ts. i also have a 32 5 window, so i know my rat rods and hot rods. in my personal opinion i would use sid before anyone else.
