I HAVE A 66 SWB 2WD WITH A 351W AND A FMX. I THINK I HAVE HEARD THAT ANY 2WD SMALL BLOCK HEADER UP TO 79 WILL WORK. IS THIS CORRECT? I HAVE A LONG LIST OF WINTER PROJECTS TO GET DONE BEFORE THE F100 NATIONALS AND NEW EXHAUST IS CLOSE TO THE TOP. ANY HELP IS GREATLY APPRECIATED.

I ran some Mustang Shorty headers on my 351w powered '72 short bed.
I would recommend those. :D

make sure you get TRUCK HEADERS

if you get TRUCK HEADERS you shouldn't have any problems as long as you purchase for a 2-wheel drive TRUCK 351 w/ auto trans.

I would recomend measuring twice and buying once.

The 351W was not offered in a F100 until the 80's. The frame width of the 1980-up trucks is wider than the pre-1980. You will have to get headers for a 68-79 with a 302.
The 351W is taller than the 302 but uses the same heads, basically. So, if the headers for a 302 go under the crossmember, it might not work. If the 302 headers run close to the floor, you may have trouble. I don't know how the headers on a 302 fit our trucks. Hopefully someone who has done the swap will clear this up.
