If you have a good eye, you will notice that the contours and curves on our Slicks are all the same. The top rail of a bed side on a 65-66 truck matches the lower contours of the bed and makes a perfect roll pan, courtesy of BroncoTom and your own Uncle Skip.
Do not buy an after market roll pan if you don't have to.
If you do need to but an aftermarket roll pan, try Mar-k in Oklahoma City.
Good stuff.
I can post pictures if you need, but if you have an extra bed, that's the way to go.
Trust me.......

I like them and have considered putting one on my Truck. Some members have taken a bed top side and making one and others have bought them. Matt made one at the fab shop he used to work in and it turned out great.........Kid

I put one on mine got tired of hitting my leg on the bumper got it with a resess for the tag and used lighted bolts for the tag light one nice thing about a roll pan is you can put a fold down tag on it and put a trailer hitch right behine it and no one will ever see it ok
I can hear a chevy rusting can you

If you're 15 and already own a slick you are WAY ahead of all the other kids in the neighborhood! A slick is a good place to master your metal-working skills-It's thick and somewhat forgiving. Keep us posted and show pics of your progress. Thanks, David.

66 F-100, please don't cut up a good bed just for a roll pan!, they are easy made or bought!, mines made from 1mm cold rolled steel, I got a sheet-metal shop to put a slight roll in a piece of metal with a bend top and bottom, and with a bit of pulling and shoving we got it in!

Here's mine.
I got it from Mar-k in Oklahoma City for $120.00 American.
Including the license plate cutout.
I was really pleased with the fitment, and they included some contoured strips to fill in in case your opening is larger than standard.

Just thought I'd throw my 2cents in here. I fabricated one for my '68 choptop from a rusted-out bed's top rail. Here's a link that shows how I did it:
