thinkin of upgrades

Post by jeffw »

now I'm seriously thinkin of puttin a V8 in my truck, I like automatics and am pretty fond of a carburated 302, what would you guys suggest would be the easiest way to go as far as donor car,or truck?? also the LMC
truck mag has setups for the motor mounts and trans mounts, I'd prolly have to get a shorted drive shaft being the original is longer than normal
and cut a hole in the floor, but this is what I want.

Any way you can get a 302 is good. Only need a truck oil pan. How about a AOD trans behind it?

By saying truck oil pan, you mean a rear sump pan and pick up? Seems like I've seen 302 swaps on here with the front sump pans (?). I can see gaining axle clearance by using one, but is it necessary?

Had a 302/aod combo in a 62 uni with front sump pan with no issues
I tried being normal once...
