Disappointing Experience

I though long and hard about if I should do this post or not but after reading jecsd1 recent post I decided to share an experience of mine. So here goes.
In early September I contacted "azratrod (Aeric Braaten) about buying a 64' cab he had listed. After reviewing the pictures he sent me I decided to purchase the cab providing he could hold it for 2 to 3 weeks. Aeric said no problem so in good faith I sent him $500 to hold it. A few days later I was reviewing the pictures again and realized that I had overlooked the fact that the firewall had been severely butchered for a new exit location for the steering column. After discovering this I realized that this was not the cab I wanted to start with and on top of all of this my and I had just suffered extensive damage to our house and propery from hurricane Ike. I called Aeric and explained our situation and how sorry I was about backing out and me having kept the cab tied up for 2 weeks. Aeric was very understanding and said he would be happy to return my money but he needed a little time to come up with it. I was happy with this. On December 4, 2008 after a 3mo wait I sent Aeric another e-mail as a reminder. Aeric comment to me was as follows; He had not been able to find my information and was hoping to hear from me. He said send me you address information and I will send you a money order. I immediately sent my address information. On January 4,2009 after I more month I sent another e-mail telling Aeric how we also could use the money. I received no response from him this time. It has now been almost 5mo's and still no money. FYI, all of the above statment is documented in our e-mails to each other. I do feel bad about this but at this point I don't know what else to do.
