Is the temperature dropping up there?
Hey JC,
How cold is it up there? I just heard on the TV that someplace up in your neck of the woods, it was -18 deegres. Now that is COLD! I just came home from baling corn stalks, and it is a very mild 58.
I very seldom say anything on here, but usually read and listen to what is going on. The XL is all comfortable in its stall, covered up and resting , again. After I get done going over the farm equipment for next year, I will wake her up and finish up the rest of the restoration. I am going to leave the paint just the way that it is. Just finish up the drive train with a C-6, instead of the B&M 4 speed hydro. I just found a set of seats and a consol out of a 62 Falcon Sprint. I am going to put them in my 62 short uni. I also bought a 66 slick from Garbs and am making it into a daily driver with a 300 6 cyl. and a C-6 with an aftermarket posi in it.
Been on here long enough, talk to you fellas later.
Bill.

Bill
we just went thru a month where the temp never got above 0.
-20 to -30 were the low range.warmed up a bit finally and has been getting into the 10+ range during the day.still no snow to speak of, just the skin of 2" from mid october.
as the owner of the only F100 XL i am wondering how you feel about my proposed F500 XL uni 4x4 project? it would never be a speed demon like yours but a strong worker no less. i cant buy one so building my own is the only way.

Ice,
It`s good to meet you. I read and listen to all you fellas, so I pretty well know you from here. I met JC at slick stock and we got along great!
I saw that you were thinking about an XL 4 x 4 and it really caught my attention. I build a few pieces for the monster trucks , Big Foot , The Virginia Giant , etc and I liked your ideas.

Hey Bill, I'd sure like to hear the story of the XL 100, if you're ever up to it. Being a fairly fresh newbie, I know bits-n-pieces, but not the whole story. It sure sounds like a cool truck!

Hey, I've seen that truck before!! A little more than a year ago, surfing the net looking for info on my '71, I stumbled accross that story. That definitly is a find of a lifetime!!! It's nice to (sort of) meet the guy who owns it. I'll be driving through Delaware next week on my way to Florida, if I stop in, can I get a ride in it? Just kiddin':D How far along are you on the restoration? I'd like to follow up on what I already know about your truck.

Don't mean to rub it in, but this is the weather here. Very unseasonably warm!
John
We started out with 10 degrees here this morning. Went from 60+ Tuesday to 19 degrees yesterday. BRRRRRRRRRR! The D@#$ recycle truck I drive is either too hot or too cold and seeings as the AC doesn't work the defrosters also don't work worth crap. I called in sick today because yesterday just beat the #$^% outta my shoulders. Between the cold and the oversize route I have to do my arthritis is having quite the party.

It's pretty warm in Eastern Canada right now, too I keep seeing St Catherines (Niagra Falls area) as the hot spot in Canada.
I am abaout as far south as I can go and still stay in the west part of the country, any further south I'd have to say "Zee" for the last letter of the alphabet, and that just aint right (whoever heard of a Zee twenty eight, man that sounds funny)
So I guess I will suffer it out, what comes around goes around, soon you eastern bums will be freezing in the dark
